Leerdammer sliced cheese was under threat from lower cost own label offers across Europe. Bel Groupe wanted to fight back by reinforcing the quality of their real, non-processed, cheese offer and adding value over own label imitations… without changing their packing lines

Designed:

Path designed and developed a unique pack shape, produced using current machinery, that supported the ‘Real Cheese’ graphic refresh. The quality, robustness and functionality of the pack was improved delivering increased protection for the product, longer shelf life and tangible consumer benefit in  easy open and reclose

Realised:

“Good news indeed for growth of slices. We had a slow start in January because of some very heavy loading in December. However, for the first 4 months we have established a growth of average 11%. In the month of April alone growth was even 27%. This can of course be related partially to the new CLICK pack but also Germany had decreased their retail sales price below the € 2 price threshold.
